As a native of Salt Lake City, Dr Johnson completed his premedical education at the University of Utah followed by his doctorate at Des Moines University in Iowa. He then completed a rigorous five-year General Surgery residency at OhioHealth in Columbus, Ohio, where he served as Chief Resident, with surgical training at OhioHealth/Doctors Hospital, The Ohio State University Medical Center, Grant Medical Center and Nationwide Children’s Hospital. This was then followed by a competitive three-year fellowship in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, where he served as Chief for two years and included a wide breadth of training at St Christopher’s Hospital for Children, The Philadelphia Hand Center/Jefferson Medical Center, Cancer Treatment Centers of America, Westchester Medical Center, The Reading Hospital and Medical Center, St Mary’s Medical Center, Hahnemann University Hospital, Aria Health systems and Barix Clinics of Pennsylvania. He then completed an intensive Hand and Microsurgery fellowship at University Medical Center in Las Vegas, while also working as a Clinical Instructor for the University of Nevada School of Medicine teaching plastic surgery residents and medical students. Following his vast and extensive training, he passed both his written and oral exams and completed board certification in both General Surgery and Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery. Dr Johnson has remained active in research, presented nationally, is published in peer-reviewed journals and has volunteered for international medical mission. He remains active in teaching medical and physician assistant students.

Dr Johnson uses an individualized, focused approach to each patient to return form and restore function.

Jana brings a positive, friendly, and outgoing energy with a caring demeanor to our practice. Patients love her caring demeanor and her attention to their concerns. She educates patients in a detailed skin care consultation that helps them with the proper selection of skin care and lasers treatments, injectables, and home care products.

Outside her passion for skin care she enjoys her time at the gym, hiking, running, rollerblading, yoga, and mostly spending time with her family.
